Amanda D'AngeloDr. D’Angelo understands the importance of a collaborative relationship in therapy and believes that this relationship is the most important vehicle for change.  She attempts to provide a warm, caring, and accepting atmosphere that will encourage clients to move towards their goals and improve their lives.

Dr. D’Angelo is a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with adults 18 and older. Her work primarily focuses on sexual trauma and women’s health. She also excels in working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, grief and loss, eating and body image issues, and difficult relationships.  

Dr. D’Angelo integrates acceptance-based cognitive behavioral therapy with an interpersonal approach. She works with clients to help them increase their emotional awareness and self-compassion. She helps clients identify their unique strengths in order to develop healthy coping skills. She also uses mindfulness and relaxed breathing techniques to help clients manage difficult emotions. Dr. D’Angelo’s professionalism, authenticity, and sense of humor set her apart as a clinician.

Dr. D’Angelo is a licensed psychologist in NC. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Health Psychology from UNC-Charlotte. Dr. D’Angelo completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Georgia Southern University Counseling Center where she specialized in working with sexual assault survivors.
