Melissa Jaworowski, M.Ed, LCMHCA

Melissa Jaworowski M.Ed., LCMHCA is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who from an early age, has always been involved in many different aspects of social and human services. It followed that in 2002 she graduated from Long Island University with a master’s degree in counseling. She started her career in education as a school counselor in which she flourished and enjoyed for many years. As a full-time therapist, Melissa prefers working with individuals 10 and older and specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and is currently exploring Exposure Therapy. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based treatment for trauma through an EMDRIA-approved provider. Melissa thrives in her practice with individuals who have or are experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, relationship and interpersonal issues, or are experiencing big life transitions. She works with those from all walks of life, including the LGBTQ population and those who consider themselves neurodivergent.
