    sylvia lyewMs. Lisa C. Blackmon is a native of Wilmington, North Carolina. She attended UNCW for her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and earned her Master’s degree in Counseling in 1995 from The Citadel. In the past she has worked for The Center for Mood and Anxiety Programs and The Center for Drug and Alcohol Programs at the Medical University of South Carolina. Ms. Blackmon has a passion for several areas, including working with adults, children and teens on issues such as social anxiety, panic, depression, stress management, family dynamics and self image. She has experience in dealing with Substance Use Disorders, Special Needs Parenting, Caregiver Support, Family Preservation, Grief, and Spirituality. She has also spent time working in Crisis Counseling as well as Career Counseling. She is knowledgeable about many resources in the community that may also be of help to you. Ms. Blackmon has immediate openings and would love to serve you.

She strives to provide quality and compassionate care by helping clients to gain insight, grow, and heal, through the therapeutic process. Her passion is guiding, inspiring, and teaching skills to people, so that they feel empowered to overcome life's challenges. Ms. Mensch approaches the therapeutic process through a humanistic lens, using modalities and theories that help fit her clients needs including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness training, and solution focused work.

She understands the unique perspectives of multi-cultural backgrounds, having previously worked with refugees and survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

    yaelDr. Gold is a licensed psychologist who has extensive training and experience in helping people deal with the broad range of concerns that present across the life span. Additionally, she has developed expertise in addressing eating disorders, compulsive eating, sexual, emotional and physical trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and women's issues.
